In the 1860s, with decorative wares expanding, Henry Doulton was persuaded to hire students from the Lambeth School of Art as designers and decorators of the new ornamental wares his company was introducing. Their outstanding creations heralded the beginning of the studio-art movement. This jug carries a special backstamp for the centenary year and was issued in limited edition of 1,997. Series: RDICC.
