Item Details
Description
The offered checkbook was carried by Elvis in late 1975. He wrote checks from this book beginning on May 21st and continuing through January 22nd. In those 8 months he wrote approximately 43 checks totaling over $89,000 (some checks have no registered amount so the total is not accurate). Elvis was incredibly generous to his friends, family and even to strangers. This checkbook contains a handwritten note giving his foreman an all-expenses-paid trip to Hawaii and a new car. This checkbook is a treasure trove of examples of Elvis’ generosity. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Mike Moon of the Elvis Museum and by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
Condition
Overall fair condition consistent with frequent use. Minor tears and foxing along with several creases, especially along the edges. Check deposit slip has hole in the center, and note has several of the same issues with an approximately 3" piece missing.
