Description
Original 35mm slide features Corinne Alphen taken by Bob Guccione in 1981 and signed by the model herself.Subject:
Corinne Alphen is the beauty that set the precedent that led to the pinnacle of Petdom! At a dewey 21, Corinne was a vision swimming before our eyes in the June 1978 centerfold 'Water Babies'. Three years later, a delightfully more mature Corinne encored as our centerfold in 'Once More With Feeling' (August 1981), becoming the first ever to receive that special accolade a second time. And over the years, Corinne took time away from her promising acting career to make hundred of personal appearances for Penthouse becoming one of the most requested beauties in Pet promotions history.
Small wonder that our recent Pet of the Year Play-off garnered our tawny two-timer an unprecedented avalanche of votes, resulting in the man slide victory. During our four year love affair with Corinne, her marvellous and very visible 37-23-36 measurements have not changed, but her unseen dimensions have. She appeared in US movies and TV shows in the 1980s and early 1990s. Roger Ebert's review of the teen film, Spring Break (1983) praised her appearance, and regretted hers was not the film's main role. She also appeared in the 1987 comedy Amazon Women On the Moon as an interactive video girl. In 1991, Alphen made an appearance on the TV sitcom Night Court. She is now a triple certified tarot card reader & teacher.Photographer:
In 1965, Bob Guccione, a struggling artist with an entrepreneurial imagination, started a magazine called Penthouse. Due to his lack of resources, Guccione personally photographed most of the models for the magazine's early issues. He spent long hours, and sometimes, several days, to complete a photo shoot. Although he had no professional training, Guccione applied his knowledge of painting to his photography, establishing the diffused, soft focus look that would become one of the trademarks of the magazine's pictorials. These images offered more sexually explicit content than other gentleman’s magazines of the era, establishing Penthouse as a well known name amongst its competitors.Featured Video:
