This is an antique circa 1950s-1960s pallete knife oil painting on board, signed by Minnesota artist Virginia Swanke Morris (daughter of artist Emma Flohr). No frame. 24" x 20". Virginia (Swanke) Morris was born October 20, 1920 in Minneapolis, Minnesota; she died in 2017. At the University of Minnesota she studied fine art with Jo Lutz Rollins and art history with Donald Torbert. She graduated from the Pepin Academy of Fashion, Minneapolis and attended the Minneapolis Institute of Art School where she continued to study painting with Walter Quirt, Keith Havens, and Arthur Kerrick. She belonged to the Minnesota Artists Association where she studied with fine artists Bernie Quick and Cameron Booth.

Excellent condition except for a bit of damage along the edges, possibly from being framed at one point, along with some corner dings.
