Description
**Originally Listed At $300**

Pre-Columbian, Peru, post-conquest period, ca. 17th century CE. A wooden kero (quero) inspired by Inca examples but created during the post-conquest era. The squat vessel was turned on a lathe to create its elegant form, and its decorative program consists of a wide register of agricultural farmers in hues of white, yellow, green, and red atop the dark-brown ground. A discoid foot supports the conical body which expands outwards towards a thick rim. A diminutive yet charming example of post-conquest Peruvian artistry! Size: 2.875" W x 3" H (7.3 cm x 7.6 cm).

Provenance: private Southern California, USA collection, acquired in the 1970s to mid-1980s
