Dumas states `Our Thursday dinner is delayed till Friday because of the premiere performance of Joseph Poniatowski..´ VG £120-200 François Barthélemy Arles-Dufour (1797-1872), Humanist and Business-man. Joseph Poniatowski (1814-1873) Polish Composer and Tenor. Nephew of Prince Josef Poniatowski, Marshal of the French Empire. He composed the music for L´Aventurier, a play by Vernoy de St. Georges which was premiered at the Opera Comique in 1865 and which Dumas refers to.
