Chinese Ming Dynasty Longquan Celadon Barbed Large Dish with a carved design, a "waffle pattern" to the center, scrolling lotus to the cavetto and outlines to the 12 point barbed edge, the reverse with further scrolling lotus, the glaze is over the foot leaving an unglazed circle to the inside with traces of an unglazed kiln support most of which has burned red in the firing. Height 3 3/8 inches (8.6 cm.) X diameter 17 inches (43.2 cm.).
