Item Details
Description
A 1950s Silvertone 1382 hollow body electric guitar in original sunburst finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist.

Randy acquired this guitar from Omar’s Guitar Shop in North Bay, Ontario because of his love of bluesman Jimmy Reed, who is heavily associated with the natural finished Kay version of the guitar as seen on the album cover for Mr. Luck.

“Those knife blade pickups, those are incredible. That’s what Jimmy Reed played! [There are] pictures of him playing Carnegie Hall, the double album.”

It appears to retain all of its original components. The odd “knife blade” pickup design, consists of a typical pickup coil hidden beneath the pickguard, with only the protruding metal blade visible from the top. Switch and volume and tone controls work properly and tuners turn smoothly. 25.5” poplar neck, maple body, rosewood bridge, and a bound, 19 fret rosewood fretboard with large pearloid block inlays.

Includes hardshell case.
