Plat sur pied crespina Bianco di Faenza en majolique, fin XVIe siècle/ debut XVIIe siècle

A Bianco di Faenza maiolica footed dish (crespina), late 16th/early 17th century

Painted in the centre with a bust of a soldier wearing a plumed helmet, a border of flowers and scrolling foliage around the moulded rim, 26.3cm diam. (restored rim chips)

There are four restored chips around the rim: two around 1 o'clock, and two slightly larger around 5 o'clock. There are two small flat chips to the rim (at 2.30 and 3.30 o'clock), and there are some scattered spots of flaking around the edge of the rim and to the moulded outside edges of the rim. There is a short tight haircrack to the rim at 7 o'clock.
There are two adjacent restored chips to the edge of the footrim (2.5cm across altogether).
Otherwise generally in good condition.
