FROM THE RENAISSANCE TO THE EARLY 1900S

The auction of ancient paintings will present an interesting group of Florentine and Sienese tables , which have always been the strong point of the auction house. Among these, an image of San Bernardino from the workshop of Sano di Pietro and a Madonna of Humility by the rare Cennino Cennini. Another well represented sector, that of the portrait : two small tables by the rare Daniele Crespi present the images of two singers, while the Genoese seventeenth century - protagonist of numerous exhibitions scheduled for spring - will be represented by a canvas by Bernardo Carbone. An interesting nucleus of still lifes will present three compositions of flowers and fruit by Abraham Brueghel , while for the landscape painting there is a large canvas by Philip Roos known as Rosa Da Tivoli . The spring session dedicated to the paintings and sculptures of the nineteenth century will present a large selection that represents the production of the most important Italian schools of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The Venetian school is present with works by Ettore Tito , Beppe Ciardi , Angelo Dall'Oca Bianca, Mosè Bianchi. For the early twentieth century we point out in the catalog a group of works by Mario Cavaglieri and one by Plinio Nomellini. Particular attention is given to female portraiture interpreted by artists such as Giuseppe Bezzuoli, Silvestro Lega, Pietro Scoppetta, Felice Carena, Luigi Serena and Lino Selvatico.
