Item Details
Description
This is a Delaware Lackawanna and Western Railroad Dressel switchmans lantern. Cast with D.L.&W.RR. on the rim, it has a patent date on the bottom of the fount of August 5, 1913. Welded equipment tag 24919 on the side of the chimney. Has a red cast Corning CNX globe with D.L. & W.R.R. cast on the front. Has its original Dressel fount with a replacement Adlake burner. Lots of nice original tin remains on this lantern! Top is cast with DRESSEL RAILWAY LAMP WORKS NEW YORK. Wonderful example of this model!
