This lot comprises three original wooden cases, each with one bottle of 2011 vintage Château Cheval Blanc from the Saint-Émilion appellation in Bordeaux.

Saint Émilion is next to Pomerol one of the best-known appellations on the right river bank of the Gironde. Merlot is the predominant grape variety here. As in Graves, Saint Émilion has its own classification for the wines produced there, updated approximately every ten years; the last time being in 2012.

The 2011 vintage Château Cheval Blanc was rated 95 points by Robert Parker in 2014. The wine was rated 94 points by Wine Spectator in same year. The wine was rated 19 of 20 points by René Gabriel.

The fill levels are excellent (high fill). The labels, capsules and original wooden cases are in perfect condition.

Château Cheval Blanc

Château Cheval Blanc is one of the most famous wine estates in the world. It is located in the Saint-Émilion appellation in Bordeaux. The estate was owned by the Laussac-Fourcaud family for over 150 years, until it was bought by the Arnault and Frère families for 131 million euros in 1998. The soil of Cheval Blanc is very different from that of other estates in Saint-Émilion, resulting in unique wines that have been extremely popular for over a century. The wines of Château Cheval Blanc have been mentioned and appeared in countless films and television shows, including James Bond and Mad Men.

Cheval Blanc has a vineyard area of 37 hectares, with 58 % Cabernet Franc and 42 % Merlot. The average production per year of the grand vin is 6,000 cases. The estate also produces around 2,500 cases per year of their second wine, Le Petit Cheval.
