Description
North America, Mesa Verde, Anasazi, ca. 1000 to 1200 CE. Perhaps the most widely recognized and most desirable form of Native American pottery, resembling our current coffee mug in its style with barrel-shaped body and large loop handle. This fine example is painted in black over gray in stepped checkerboard pattern enhanced further with bands of diagonal lines. A very attractive example! Size: 4-5/8"H.
