A 1950s Arnold Hoyer Meisterklasse archtop guitar, no serial number, sunburst finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist. Part of Randy’s huge collection of German-made Archtop guitars, assembled over a period of 30-plus years.

The Meisterklasse instruments by Arnold Hoyer featured fully solid wood construction and were extremely well-built guitars from Germany’s “Golden Age” of luthierie. Features a sunburst maple neck with black headstock face and “Arnold Hoyer Meisterklasse” branding, six white plastic button tuners, a red-white-red laminated nut with zero fret, and binding. The binding continues onto the 21-fret rosewood fretboard with block inlays, including one red one at the 12th fret position. The body wears an attractive sunburst finish over its spruce top and flame maple back and sides. Bound f-holes add class, as does the original contrasting pickguard. A-for-Arnold tailpiece, missing bridge.
