Description
A c.1950s Rodebald Hoyer Jazzstar archtop guitar, no serial number, natural finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist. Part of Randy’s massive collection of German-made archtops from the middle of the last century.
A striking headstock facade of red and white pearloid, pearloid string guide nut, and zero fret. Red 12th fret inlay on a bound, pearloid-inlaid 21-fret rosewood fretboard, mated to a five-piece neck. Spruce top, flame maple back and sides, multi-ply white and black binding topped with celluloid tortoise shell, also lining the f-holes. Ebony bridge, harp tailpiece, faux shell pickguard.
Includes hardshell case.
