Description
A 1957 Hopf 319 archtop guitar in a natural finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist. One of many such instruments among his collection oF German archtop guitars.
Likely made by Gustav Glassl, this Hopf 319 wears a Musikhaus dealer tag on front of headstock over the top inlay. Five-piece maple neck, bound rosewood fretboard with 21 frets, a string guide nut with zero fret, and a red 12th fret inlay. Spruce top, multi-ply binding, flame maple back and sides. Missing its center strip of accent binding on the sides. Adjustable ebony bridge, Hopf-engraved tailpiece, bound catseye sound holes.
Includes soft-shell case.
