Description
A pair of carved wooden Art Brut style shrine objects in seated positions, one with arms on the knees, the others with arms crossed. These idols were possibly attached to a larger carving at one point. Dayak or related peoples, Borneo, Indonesia. The largest sculpture measures 15.5 inches, the smaller 12 inches tall on their custom display stands. Provenance: Ex Robert Banks collection, Md.
