Description
Cast bronze sculpture after the marble "Hermes and the Infant Dionysus" that was rediscovered in 1877 in the ruins of the Temple of Hera, Olympia, in Greece. The original marble sculpture is displayed at the Archaeological Museum of Olympia.

Condition
No major bends, scratches, or losses. Areas of tarnishing and discoloration throughout. Some accretions throughout, especially along the draped fabric. Dust and dirt gathered in the recessed areas.
