Item Details
Description
A 1968 Gibson ES-125 3/4 scale hollow body electric guitar, serial #519693, sunburst finish, owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist.
Formerly used by Canadian Jazz guitarist Lenny Breau, Randy has kept this ES-125 in remarkably good shape. “I got it in the late ‘70s in a music store in Philadelphia. I’ve never played it.”
The ES-125 3/4 was a smaller, shorter version of the full-size ES-125, an entry-level archtop in Gibson’s hollow body electric lineup. Intended for students or players with smaller frames, the 125 3/4 is no less tuneful and playable as its larger counterpart.
A 23” scale length mahogany neck with a dot-inlaid, 19-fret rosewood fingerboard, Kluson-made strip tuners, and a silk-screened Gibson logo. The guitar’s top is maple, finished in sunburst, with mahogany back and sides. A single chrome P-90 pickup, master volume and tone controls, and output jack. Tortoise shell pickguard, witch hat knobs, short chrome trapeze tailpiece and a rosewood bridge.
Includes hardshell case and original hang tag.
