This brown-ground main carpet shows a repeat of dark blue, red and petrol C-guls arranged in flat colour diagonals running from the bottom right to the top left. It was woven by the Igdir, a Yomut tribal group. This is suggested not only by the knotting structure, the wool and the specific palette, but also by the undulating vine in the white main border. The primary motif owes its name to the small crescents with which it is studded. It also occurs in the main carpets of other Yomut tribes.
Signs of age and wear, low pile, various repiled sections, new overcasting along the sides.
